Gosh, I’m so slow. Apologies go out to my readers who were anxiously wondering how I spent my Near Years Eve. I had a calm night in with my two best friends (surprised?! I am pretty much a grandma…). I was actually spending the weekend house/cat sitting for Ira & Julie while they were off in Vermont, so it sort of felt like I was on a mini-vacation. Changes in scenery always do ya good, no?
Anyways, I’m pretty much in love with their darling house because it’s right on the water!!! And, going on the market next week…
I hosted Adrianne and Molly for the evening and cooked up a storm! It was fun to have helpers in the kitchen, plus Adrianne as a paparazzi. She gets the credit for most of the following shots!
- Cooking is fun!
- Oh snap, look who’s a brunette!
- Super helper & dish washing queen
- Table for three, please.
- Thai soup.
- Spicayyyy
- French bread buffalo chicken pizzas!
- Rolo delights were a big hit (per usual).
- We played a rousing game of ‘Sort it Out”
- Of course we had waffles the next morning…
- Somewhere under that cheese lies Adrianne’s omelette…
I got the recipe for the pizzas here, highly recommended. I’m a huge fan of Jessica’s blog, How Sweet It Is, in general. If you’re looking for some drool-worthy food porn, have at it.
I’m not really one for resolutions or any big recaps, but naturally I am excited to welcome 2013 with open arms and an open heart. I know it will be a great year.
